RECOMMENDATIONS AGAINST SOLAR RADIATION
1· Avoid sun exposure in the middle hours of the day (between 12 noon and 5 pm), as well as prolonged exposure or naps in the sun.
2· Reduce the parts of your body directly exposed to the sun. Light clothing, thick knit shirts and trousers block the majority of solar radiation. The most comfortable clothing in hot climates is light-coloured cotton shirts. The clothing should be comfortable and not too tight-fitting.
3· It is recommended to cover your head with a hat or cap.
4· The sun can also damage your eyes, so it is recommended to wear approved sunglasses which filter at least 90% of ultraviolet radiation.
5· Wear high-factor solar protection products appropriate for your age, skin type and the area of the body. These protectors should be applied generously 30 minutes before exposure to the sun and should be re-applied every two hours and after each swim. Remember that not even very effective solar protection products which protect against both UVB and UVA radiation can guarantee complete protection against the health risks posed by ultraviolet radiation (UV). For this reason, the labelling standards for solar protection products have been changed, and labels must not state or even imply that they offer total protection from the risks derived from excessive UV radiation exposure. The only way to completely avoid the damage caused by the sun is to avoid exposure and, otherwise, to take the adequate protection measures described herein to try to reduce the risk.
6· Be careful of exposure on and in the water, as the radiation can penetrate up to one metre in clear water.
7· In particular, ensure to protect children, as they are very sensitive to over-exposure to the sun at this time of year. Exposure of children under the age of 3 to the sun should also be avoided. High-factor sun creams should be used (solar protection factors above 40 are advised).
8· If you take medication, check that this does not increase skin sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AVOIDING DROWNING AND SPINAL CORD TRAUMA AND INJURIES IN SWIMMING POOLS
1. Avoid the drains in swimming pools.
2. Carefully check the depth of the water before entering.
3. Do not dive headfirst in places where you are not sure of the depth, as it could be shallower than you think and consequently lead to serious bangs and possible spinal injury.
4. Avoid areas which are not suitable for jumping into the water, such as trees, balconies and other inappropriate spaces.
5. Enter the water slowly or jump in feet-first several times before diving headfirst.
6. When diving headfirst, your arms should be in front of your head, extending your body's length, to protect your head and neck. A bad fall from a raised height, even into water, can cause serious injury.
7. Exercise constant supervision of children when they are near recreational waters, even when shallow.
8. Avoid consumption of alcohol before any activity in or near water.
9. In general, you must also be cautious of digestion cuts. It is highly-recommended to shower before entering the water in order to acclimatise your body to the temperature and avoid digestion cuts and other complications.
10. Do not jump over people in the water.
Additionally, in case of an accident, and in view of any need to pick up or move the victim, it is very important to immobilise the neck, avoid movements of the spine and advise a professional so that they can remove the victim. The victim should not be transported in a utility vehicle.
It must be remembered that many people have been left in a wheelchair for life for not taking account of the foregoing recommendations.
Dear Guests,At our hotel, the safety and well-being of our guests are our top priority. To ensure a safe and healthy environment in our swimming pools, we follow strict hygiene and water quality protocols. We wish to inform you that, in the rare event of a fecal or vomit incident being detected in any of our swimming pools, we immediately activate a safety and disinfection protocol3. This procedure, designed to protect the health of all our bathers, involves the temporary closure of the affected pool4.
For this reason, it is mandatory for young children who are not yet potty-trained to ALWAYS wear swim diapers while in the pool. The closure is necessary to carry out thorough disinfection and to ensure that chlorine and pH levels are optimal before reopening the pool5.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these situations, as these measures are essential for the safe enjoyment of our facilities.Sincerely,The Management.
